Vladičin Han

Vladicin Han is placed in the northwestern part of the Vranje valley, on both sides of the South Morava, in the immediate vicinity of the Grdelica gorge. The distance of the city from the border with Macedonia in the south is 67 km, and with Bulgaria in the east 52 km. Vladicin Han is a young place, which was first mentioned in the eighth decade of the 19th century. The name is derived from the lonely house "hanu", which was built by Stefan Grk until the middle of the 19th century and later bought by Bishop Pajsija.
