Shooting Stars

"People's hero Ljiljan Vidić” is the first partisan comedy in the history of Croatian cinematography, and is also an ingenious film for anyone who loves parodies. The Second World War is still ongoing, and the National Liberation Movement in Croatia is crumbling. The young poet Ljiljan Vidic joins the partisans, and his task is to write a song for the partisan band and to try to win the national talent competition. The first prize is a performance at a festive dinner, in front of Hitler himself, where he will be given the opportunity to kill him and bring World War II to an end. In his journey, Ljiljan also meets with Josip Broz Tito, Anto Pavelic, and Adolf Hitler, and this will make him a hero of the present generations who will speak of him with pride and respect. An interesting story reminds us of the former Yugoslavia and it's pop culture, and the great humor and scenography make the film attractive to younger generations as well. Will our hero win the singing contest and end up the war?
