Sevdah

What is sevdah for you? One would say that it is that feeling of life colored by longing and beautiful sadness, which is evoked in Bosnia through the traditional song sevdalinka. Musician Damir and director Marina are united by the death of their mutual friend Farah, an energetic lover of sevdah. Trying to face the sadness, they made a film about sevdah and shaped it emotionally, musically, and visually into a journey through the soul of Bosnia and through their deepest memories and feelings.
