Prijepolje ( Orig. Title ) Documentary 0 h 27 Min 2011
Prijepolje belongs to the Zlatibor district. It is strategically located in the southwestern part of Serbia on the border of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. It was inhabited in Roman times, while in the Middle Ages it was part of the Serbian state of Raska. In the documents, it is mentioned for the first time as the square of the Mileseva monastery, and that is how it is called in the contract on the trade of salt from Dubrovnik to Prijepolje from 1343. After the cruel and exhaustive wars that were fought in the 20th century, Prijepolje finally experienced social and economic development. Today, this place represents the border municipality of Serbia with Montenegro and has a crucial position on the road to the Montenegrin coast and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
