Mali Zvornik

Due to its position and the great potential of the Drina, which was known from before, Mali Zvornik was chosen as the place for the construction of the first hydroelectric power plant on the Drina. The construction of the dam on the Drina is without a doubt the first, real megalomaniac project in the post-war construction of the country. A giant that has changed the topographic, demographic, economic and cultural picture of the whole area for all time. The municipality of Mali Zvornik is located in the western part of the Republic of Serbia, in the Middle Podrinje.
