Frozen Stiff

In the countries of the former Yugoslavia, this comedy has been given a cult status. "Frozen Stiff" follows the story of Limeni, a drug dealer, and two brothers, Lemi and Kiza, who, since they have no money to take their dead grandfather to Vršac for the funeral, are smuggling him onto a train to take him home. They dress their grandfather in a purple suit and put him in a compartment with the other passengers, convincing them that their grandpa is sleeping. They hope no one will notice that he is, in fact, dead. By then a completely comical story goes wrong. When Lemi and Kiza go out to take a drink at the wagon restaurant, drug dealer Limeni, scared of police who entered the train, puts a packet of drugs in Grandpa's pocket. At that moment, the train brakes unexpectedly and abruptly, and the bag falls directly to grandpa's head. Everyone in the compartment thinks it killed him, so they hysterically throw his body out the window, while the others lie that grandpa got up and left. Then begins the dramatic search for grandpa's body, which brings us one of the best comedies ever shot in this region.
