Petrovac na Mlavi

Petrovac is located in the middle part of the river Mlava, and the composition and appearance of the soil, as well as the abundance of water, have been the most important factors for inhabiting this area since the earliest times. Petrovac was named after the state advisor Petrovic, a friend of Prince Milos Obrenovic. By written request, 19.1.1871. year, 128 citizens of Petrovac requested that Petrovac be officially declared a town. Finally, the paper on the proclamation of Petrovac as a town was signed by Prince Milan Obrenovic on May 14, 1873. years.
