Doba Dunđerskih ( Orig. Title ) Drama, History 0 h 47 Min 2014
The esteemed Serbian poet Laza Kostic, a multiple godfather with Lazar Dundjerski, the richest Serb in Vojvodina at the time, returned to Novi Sad after seven years in Montenegro. Nothing is the same anymore, the changes during his absence are huge, and Lazar Dundjerski's daughters, who were little girls when he left, have now grown into beautiful girls educated in Vienna and Pest. This is a documentary movie that brings a wonderful story about the relationship between the poet Laza Kostic and Lazar's youngest daughter Jelena - Lenka, to whom he wrote the most beautiful Serbian song "Santa Maria della salute". While he was struggling to solve the difficult situation in which he found himself, Laza hid his sympathy for Lenka in all possible ways. In the end, he even participated in the efforts to find her a groom, addressing his friend Nikola Tesla with a plan for him to marry the richest and most desirable Serbian bridegroom of that time. All this intrigue was interrupted by Lenka's sudden death in a Viennese hotel.
